'Huk-A-Poo' , established in 1969 ,
was a beloved brand of 70's shirts .
This wacky example is a battle of color .
The black squares add funk to the fire .
Positively a grand Party Shirt .
Below is a pattern of another 'Huk-A-Poo'
It's a killer design , but you don't see me wearing it ,
because of my ever-growing big fat gut , alas .
This shirt waxes nostalgically of the Old South .
Plantations , Steamboats , and Live Oaks
grace the pattern , far better than these pix show .
I purchaced this shirt through
'eBay' .
By the seller's photos , it was represented
as a Red and Blue patterned shirt .
I was flabbergasted when it arrived in the mail ,
having no idea the chief color consisted of a
Day-Glo Orange so offensively bright ,
I think I damaged my camera taking these pix .
Yep , Blue , Grey , and an unberable Orange .
Adding insult to injury , the pattern consists of
a traditional Geisha Girl admiring Cherry blossoms .
I've asked it before m and I'll ask it again :
"What the hell were they thinking back then ?"
Made by 'David Harrison' , a maker of funky shirts
......obviously .
I love this fierce shirt .
